ME2-O3 ozone sensor is a constant potential electrolytic sensor.
During the electrochemical oxidation process of ozone on the working electrode, the working electrode and the reference electrode of the electrolytic cell are kept at an appropriate potential through the electronic circuit, under which the electrochemical oxidation or reduction reaction of ozone can occur.
Since the Faraday current generated by oxygen during oxidation and reduction reaction is very small and can be ignored, the current generated by the electrochemical reaction of the gas under test is proportional to its concentration and follows Faraday's law. In this way, the concentration of the gas to be measured can be determined by measuring the size of the current.
