The infrared wavelength 4.4µm sensor has a high sensitivity to carbon dioxide generated by the combustion of hydrocarbons,
and the ultraviolet sensor has a high sensitivity to ultraviolet radiation emitted by flames.
Other sensors filter the interference of ambient light and surrounding thermal radiation
